Celebrate Anchorage Community House's grand re-opening and co-location at the Church of Love. See how ACH has reimagined the apartment in the back of the COL. We're opening our doors to you on Valentine's Day to check out all the nooks and crannies of this eccentric building. All aspects of the COL will be activated: artists' studio tours, s'mores by the fire pit, art installations, live music, and craft stations throughout the building.
A System of Strings is a contemporary circus show created and performed by multidisciplinary American circus artists Ariel Schmidtke and Esther de Monteflores. A System of Strings fuses shadow puppetry and physical theater with traditional circus arts including trapeze, wire walking, and acrobatics. This show is 1 hour in length and, though not specifically geared towards children, is suitable for audiences of all ages.

Featuring the EcoSono Ensemble and an international cast of sound artists, the recital celebrates the beautiful soundscape of Alaska and world ecoacoustics. On Friday night, July 28, at 8pm, the EcoSono Ensemble performs a recital of scored and improvised ecoacoustic music.

We want to explore how we can maximize a one-bedroom unit design for ultimate livability and financial feasibility for actual development. We partnered with set designer Sheila Wyne to design a scale 3-D unit model with multiple moving parts and furniture to allow for real interaction in the space illustrating real constraints for real world living.

Join Alaskan songwriter & producer Evan Phillips for an intimate acoustic performance. Phillips will be performing unplugged, without any amplification, utilizing the ambience and natural reverb of the room. This is a listening event that will be recorded for release as a live album.
